The Waterbridge Group was founded in 1993 as a property investment and fund management company. The business intent was for Toby Hunter and his business partner to provide fund management style advice to wealthy individuals who sought their own actively managed property portfolio.

In 2003 the Waterbridge Group evolved from fund manager on behalf of wealthy individuals to a property investment and development company. Waterbridge now has specialist skills and a proven track record in creating sites that have a strong impact on improving atmosphere, environment and lifestyle in towns and cities. The Waterbridge Group is involved with a diverse range of intriguing developments as far north as Inverness, as far south east as Margate and as far south west as St Austell

The Waterbridge Group opened The Forbury Hotel and Apartments in February 2006. The self-styled sexiest town house hotel in the UK blends luxury, a country house service philosophy, attention to detail, art, music, food, and cocktails to offer what the Evening Standard described as "the most luxurious hotel I have ever stayed in."

As with The Forbury Hotel, Toby Hunter has created a strong vision for by the bridge. The combination of the stunning waterside apartments with views over the mountains within the same building as Peat Restaurant (strongly influenced by the spice trails and the fine Scottish larder), an art gallery, a cooking school and a deli will demonstrate that the Waterbridge flair for living life to the full continues to create excitement.
